What to do.

If you are not content with using one of the many facilities on La Torre, then there is a whole world outside of the resort. The best way to see this is to hire a car. The roads are very straight forward and we would recommend a car to anyone who wants to see more of the area and does not mind driving on the right handside! For those of you not so keen on the driving, or just like a drink on holiday then why not get the free shuttle bus to one of the other resorts. The buses run into the night so whether you fancy a game of golf on Hacienda Riquelme, a pamper day using the Spa in the 5* hotel at the Mar Menor or just a change of scenary and dinner at El Valle , you can catch the bus from outside the clubhouse to all of these exsisting Polaris World Resorts.

The Other Polaris Resort Facilities:

Mar Menor Golf Resort: 18 hole golf course and driving range; 5* Intercontinental Hotel with EPSA Spa, Irish Bar and other Bars and restarunts; Club house with bar and restaurant, Gym and communal pool and changing facilties; Supermarket and bank.

El Valle Golf Resort: 18 hole golf course and driving range; Club house with bars and restaurants.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort: 18 hole golf course and temporary supermarket and bar.

On a personal note I would suggest El Valle or Hacienda for a game of golf and Mar Menor if you wanted to use the Spa or bars and restaurants for a night out.

The cities of Murcia and Cartagena are 30 minutes drive and full of local hostory and amazing architecture, not to mention the shopping and cafe bars along the way.
The La Manga Club, famous for its golf courses at 170 euros a round is just a 40 minute drive. If you are willing to pay the price why not play a round or just have a drive up there to see if you can catch a glimse of the stars. You will find the England football team and other premiership clubs train out there!

There is also a water and wildlife park in Murcia:

Look at their website here for opening days and times

Terra Natura Murcia is a new-generation wildlife park where you can discover a new concept in habitat design which will enable you to come into contact with the animals as if there were no barriers between you – at least, no visible ones! This park is 16 euros for adults and 12 euros for children.

The water park, known as Zanzibar, covers a total area of 30,000 m2 and aims to recreate the Indian Ocean archipelago of the same name. It offers a really refreshing oasis of relaxation just a short distance from the centre of Murcia. It is 23 euros for adults and 18 euros for children
